2. Information We Collect

When you submit a website enquiry, we collect your name, email address, preferred contact method, project type, project location and message. We also collect your phone number if supplied or if you ask us to telephone you, and your project stage if supplied. We receive any further information you provide when communicating with us.

Enquiries include the page from which they were submitted and submission details. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and activity needed to deliver and protect the website. Please avoid including sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use enquiry information to understand your request, respond, discuss your project and communicate about services you request. We also use information to operate and secure the website, prevent spam and abuse, maintain relevant records and meet legal obligations.

Under UK GDPR, our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or performing a contract with you; our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, managing business communications and protecting our website; and compliance with applicable legal obligations. The basis depends on the purpose and circumstances. Where we rely on consent for a particular use, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share relevant information with providers involved in website hosting, security and spam prevention, email delivery and communications, and website or IT support, including support with enquiry handling. These include Cloudflare for hosting and security and Resend for enquiry email delivery. Providers process information for their services and, where applicable, their own security and service-improvement purposes.

We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators or other authorities where necessary to meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. Cookies and Website Security

We use Cloudflare Turnstile and other website security measures to distinguish genuine visitors from automated abuse and protect enquiries. These services process technical browser and device signals and may use cookies or similar technologies for security. Cloudflare also processes Turnstile information to improve its detection of automated activity.

We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking security technologies may affect enquiry submission.

6. International Data Processing

Our service providers may process personal information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where UK law restricts a transfer, appropriate safeguards are required, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, including the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. This depends on the nature and progress of your enquiry, any resulting client relationship, applicable legal and professional record-keeping requirements, and the need to resolve disputes or legal claims. Service providers may retain information under their own applicable retention arrangements, including for security and backups.

8. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances, you have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, and receive or transfer information in a portable format. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise your rights, contact info@sa.associates. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Contact and Complaints

If you have questions or concerns about how your information is handled, email info@sa.associates or write to SA Associates, 268 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4DX.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator. You do not have to contact us before making a complaint to the ICO.
